Intersections aims to create a space and an opportunity for artists who use various media of expression to exchange their perspectives and experiences of the world through their art. The intention is that through intersections, the connection of artists across different forms of expression, new forms of creativity and inspiration will emerge; that people are able to see and create new art work because of their exposure to different angles and takes on the world we live in.

Intersections will capture in images, words and sounds, the interpretations, contradictions and manifestations of the theme intersections: sensations that range from the largest intersection in the world to the intimate meaning of a crossroad in the life of an individual.

All material received through the program will be initially showcased virtually within the Global Gallery as single expressions yet in one unique and new space:

A collection of images

Creative stories in multiple languages (not translations but different content in diverse languages interpreting text as a form of art and as a reproduction of an immense metropolis as a place where cultures and languages meet)

Sounds, animations and short videos as design elements of the site

Fusion

All content will then become part of a creative process and a multi-sensorial experience that "rethinks" and blends together the images, sounds and words bringing them to life within:

An innovative exhibition designed as a "living crossroad"

A creative publication built on selected images and minimal text (abstracts or full versions) around the theme and concept. The publication will be multi-lingual (not translations but based on diverse content that can be gathered in any language that reproduces the nature of a metropolitan and multicultural reality

A multimedia animation that blends creatively all the gathered content


You are invited to contribute to this creative process. You are the creativity in the process. Participate through your interpretation of the theme Intersections using the medium of your choice: an image, a short story, words, a sound, or an animation.
